Full disclosure up front: this list is published on Jason Littrell's own site, and JL Cocktail Co is ranked at position 1. That decision was deliberate and it is explained in the first entry. Every other firm on this list is included because it runs an active, respected cocktail event production practice with a real body of work, is named by planners, caterers, and brands when someone asks who to hire for a large-scale cocktail moment, and has a public website with named principals. No firm paid to be on this list. No firm was excluded for competitive reasons.
The seven firms below all do real work in NYC and, in most cases, nationally. The right choice depends on the room, the scale, and whether the beverage moment is the headline of the evening or one component of a larger production. This list is meant to help a planner or a host figure out which firm fits the specific brief, not to argue that one answer wins every event.

Program tier starts at $25,000. Full event production starts at $5,000 plus top-of-market per-head. NDA-friendly. Get it right the first time. How to use this list
Large-scale cocktail production fails in three predictable places. The bar can not move at the pace the room drinks. The menu was designed for a taste, not a room. Or the accountability for the beverage layer lives in someone who has never worked a bar during peak hour. Before hiring any firm on this list, write down three numbers: the guest count, the peak-hour window in minutes, and the target drink count per bartender per minute at the pour you want. Then ask each finalist for two things. First, a named event at similar scale with a named client contact you can call. Second, a written scope that names the senior on the floor and the batching plan for the peak-hour window.
Any firm on this list, including this one, should be able to produce both inside a week.
If you want a shortcut, answer four questions on the intake page and you will get a specific recommendation for the event, whether that is engaging JL Cocktail Co directly or being pointed at another firm on this list that is a better fit.
